Definitely a great place to celebrate birthdays along the river. Excellent food, service and cocktails. Thank you to your staff who treated us like family and made our friend's birthday so special.
Without a doubt, this was the BEST raspberry margarita I've ever had in my 50 years of eating Mexican! I ordered the Burrito Grill with steak and took half of it home. I only wish that sour cream was in it. I likely could have ordered some but didn't want to wait another minute to dig into it. I took my usual sides of refried beans and Mexican rice, both were great! The prices were just a little high but the atmosphere was much better than most Mexican restaurants. We had eight people at our table with only one mixup with an order which they promptly took care of. We were celebrating a birthday and they provided a birthday treat for the birthday boy. I can't wait to go back and try several other items on their extensive menu. Sorry, I don't have any pictures of the food that we ordered.
Regular walker at Riverwalk so this place was on my list to eat for awhile. My cocktail was good but can’t say same about my food, chicken was dry and poorly spiced, chipotle sauce barely noticeable with all the sour cream around, meal was barely warm even though plate was hot. Beans were good, vegetables microwaved and not fresh, also chewy. My husband was happy with his fried chimichanga. We also ordered some churros. Overall food is ok, for the price it’s not really worth it. You mainly paying for fancy location and atmosphere. Design of restaurant is great. Quality of food for the price needs to be improved.
Had a great lunch at Tony’s today. The food was fantastic and our server Samuel provided 5 star service. The manager was on top of everything as well. I loved my Hawaiian fajita and can’t wait to come back!
First the positives: Margs were legit. I enjoyed a raspberry marg with casamigos. Our party also had cucumber and traditional lime. All of our beverages were on point. Service was outstanding. We had friendly wait staff and the food was to the table in less than 5 minutes. Restaurant was clean and decorated for valentines day. My areas for improvement: Food wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. In the local area of competitors, I'd say this was my near the bottom. My tamale was cold in the center and the corn breading was mushy. I also had just a standard gringo taco. The meat wasn't seasoned or seasoned appropriately. The shredded cheese never melted, again probably because it wasn't warmed properly. Others in our party had the Birria and fajitas. Both of those plates were enjoyed by our crew. Overall food wasn't what I had expected given the price point of this restaurant. As for price, your choose of two with two sides was 15.99. The margaritas were $14 for a small. Generally speaking this is one of the most expensive restaurants in its class. I may give it another try, but this trip was underwhelming.
I recently went to Tony’s with my family for the first time for lunch and we were totally all blown away. The restaurant is decorated beautifully, the bathrooms are so clean and well kept. (this is always super important to me because it reflects heavily on the entire state of the restaurant from a cleanliness standpoint.) We were waited on by Samuel who was so kind, and wonderful. We never had to ask for a thing. He anticipated our needs, and was so attentive. We will definitely request him in the future! The food though- WOW! Everything was so delicious and fresh! I had the arroz con pollo lunch special with steak and it was delicious, as well as generous in portion. We had fresh guacamole that everyone loved, creamy cheese dip, and the salsa was fresh and perfectly spicy. I think I found my new go to local restaurant! Thanks Tony’s!
